Aims:

"Laserbasierte Generierung von NiTi-Mikroaktoren durch Laserstrahlsintern für die resthörerhaltende, minimal-traumatische Cochlea-Implantat-Versorgung (GentleCI)"

• functionalization of cochlear implant electrodes with an actuator made of shape memory alloy (Nitinol)
• laser-sintering of nickel-titanium (Nitinol) actuators
• embedding the actuator in the electrode carrier
• characterization and testing of the functionalized implants
